Project 2 Peer Review
Poyu:
-liked the map on the plate idea
-thinks I should narrow my focus, not try to illustrate each restaurant, maybe just have the pop ups be written info about the restaurants instead of illustrations for each restaurant
Alexander:
-Pop ups don't have to be each in different places, you can have a designated spot where all the roll over pop ups will pop up at
-stick with illustrations of the sample foods and a written description of the restaurant in the pop ups (don't do an image of fish, throwing, stick with an image of the sample food)

Seattle Food Tours
All of our food and cultural tours focus on tasting F.L.O.S.S. (fresh, local, organic, seasonal, and sustainable) foods and beverages.
Each tour offers a large variety of tastings, while visiting 6-10 different specialty food shops, artisans, and neighborhood restaurants. Although the tours differ in geography, duration, and food themes, they all highlight the vibrant stories of the people and places that make Seattle one of the greatest culinary and cultural centers of the world. For most guests, the amount of food served on the tours is enough to be considered a meal.

walked through the open-air market, Caroline pointed out various points of
interest like Rachel the Pig and the Japanese-American mural watching over the
marketplace, which may have normally gone unnoticed in the throngs of people.
Savor Seattle tour guides hold up a pink umbrella throughout the tour to help the tourists keep track of them in the crowded market. The pink umbrella is Savor Seattle's logo.

Tour Start Location- Market Theater:
The Market Theater Gum Wall is a local landmark in downtown Seattle, in Post Alley under Pike Place Market. Similar to Bubblegum Alley in San Luis Obispo, California, the Market Theater Gum Wall is a brick alleyway wall now covered in used chewing gum. Parts of the wall are covered several inches thick, 15 feet high for 50 feet.[1]
The wall is by the box office for the Market Theater, and the tradition began around 1993 when patrons of Unexpected Productions' Seattle Theatresports stuck gum to the wall and placed coins in the gum blobs.[2] Theater workers scraped the gum away twice, but eventually gave up[1] after market officials deemed the gum wall a tourist attraction around 1999.[2] Some people create small works of art out of gum.[3]
It was named one of the top 5 germiest tourist attractions in 2009, second to the Blarney Stone.[1][4][5] It is the location of the start of a ghost tour,[6][7]and it is a popular site with wedding photographers.[2]

Pike Place Fish Co:
Ah, but this place made salmon delicious. While on the tour we were given samples of their original smoked salmon, lemon pepper smoked salmon, and salmon jerky. I didn’t care for the jerky, but the smoked salmon was so tasty.https://notebookworthy.wordpress.com/tag/food-tour/

Pear Delicatessen & Shoppe:
The deli man and the woman whose family owns this delicatessen are fondly known as the perfect ‘pear’. (Cue the aw’s!) The deli man’s name is Brian Jones and he worked at many famous restaurants all over the world. He finally settled in Seattle and joined the family business. Together they renamed the deli to its current name to show that it has entered a new stage.
Not only does this pair have a cute love story, but the pair also serves delicious sandwiches! We all sampled the ham sourdough sandwich with glazed onions and greens. I’m glad to say that this deli had much better sourdough.

Etta's Seafood:
Writing an introduction for this one is hard. I could talk about the award winning chef Tom Douglas who established this and other popular restaurants (Dahlia Restaurant, Dahila Bakery, Lola, Serious Pie, Cuoco, etc.) each with their own specialty.
